In the niches of the facade housed works by the sculptor Leon Ortega. The sculptures depict The Christ of Jerusalem and a beautiful image of the Virgen de la Cinta, patroness of the city of Martinez Montanes.

The Ermita de la Soledad from the fifteenth to sixteenth century is a simple white building with close ties to the history of Huelva. Of its many uses the characteristic white chapel is now the headquarters of the Brotherhood of the Holy Burial, whose images are works by sculptor Leon Ortega as a Crucified Christ on the altar of the Church of conception until its recent renovation.

The Shrine of the tape in Conquero heads is a building of the fifteenth century Gothic-Mudejar style, but probably is based on much older remnants. It was visited by Columbus before and after their trip thanks to the Virgen de la Cinta. The Zuloaga has interesting frescoes in the interior scenes that relate to the visit of Christopher Columbus in the sanctuary and the patron saint of the city in the central nave.

From here you can get beautiful snapshots of the marshes, the lower town and the port as well as some romantic sunsets. 

Santuario de la Cinta.
The Church of the Conception, built in 1515 and major renovations following the 1755 earthquake. It is the second church built in the city and is believed to be the first temple of Spain under the avocation of the Immaculate Conception.
San Sebastian Church dates from the mid-twentieth century and the “Rationalist style” has some interesting stained glass windows and a large mural on the altar, was founded on the patron saint of the city, San Sebastian. Also interesting is the Church of Rocio, located next to the old jail which was built in the middle of the twentieth century with the design plan as a simple Latin cross highlighting its two towers carved in stone.

There is a rich heritage of architectural ruins from Roman to Muslim. The Archaeological area of San Pedro still has the containment walls and Phoenicians Tarteso and foundations of a Moorish castle which are in private area so it is necessary authorization for your visit.

The Church of San Pedro, in Seville's Mudejar style was built on the remains of an ancient mosque Mudejar which is considered the oldest in the city. The building is listed as a site of cultural interest on March 16, 1999.

The La Merced Cathedral, of Our Lady of Mercy situated at the Plaza de la Merced, next to the headquarters of the university has a Renaissance façade and was built in 1605 and proclaimed a cathedral in 1953.

The Gothic-style building interior and baroque outside preserves an important collection of art works of religious nature in the neocontemporanea and neobaroque styles traceable to Hernan Ruiz the Younger.

The Church of the Miraculous and Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea Located on the street and Rabida erected between 1923 and 1929 by architect Perez faces displays a wide range of ribbed vaults and flamboyant arches, pinnacles and windows and capitals.

After a small earthquake in 1969 was restored in 2004 and annexed to the chapel of Mercy and showing its importance architecturally with its roof, dome and religious carvings of the interior.

There are two monasteries in the city, the convent of the Sisters of the Cross dates from the turn of the century and has an architecture style typical of Huelva.

Situated at the Plaza Isabel la Catolica commonly known as Plaza Nina in the same square and in front of the monastery is the monument to the Sisters of the Cross, the sculptor Leon Ortega and one side is the Church of Hope, a beautiful Baroque church, inspired by the hope of Seville.

The other is the former Convent of Agustinas the Plaza de las Monjas and data from the sixteenth century and the Mudejar style it is designed displays a beautiful dome and inside you will find the remains of a Roman temple.

The other parishes in the city are the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus also known as "the powder keg", dating from the 20s with a facade of brick highlighting its slender tower and follows the planning of a Jesuit church, it is situated near the small parish church of San Jose Obrero and in style is simple and humble.

It was built in early twentieth century and used by the farming community being promoted by the blessed Manuel Gonzalez and blessed the April 1, 1911. Beside the parish it also served as a school of the powder magazine, and is now attached to the college fellowship in July 16, 1968.

Just at the entrance to the pier are two buildings of the port of Huelva in the 1930s that are declared of Cultural Interest.

Perhaps the most recognizable monuments in the city located on the outskirts is the Monumento a la Fe Discoverer, in the Punta del Sebo, commemorating the fourth centenary of the departure of Christopher Columbus from the nearby port of Palos de la Frontera.

Other attractions in the city of Canoas Port, which links the town by boat from Punta Umbria and where the colossal monument to the sailor, ten meters high at the entrance to the wharf.
