Major parks and gardens of the city are the "Avenue Andalusia, as boulevard gardens and fountains with over two miles long, which leads from the entrance to the city to the Plaza A-49/H-30 Quintero Baez in the heart of the city. There are several recreation areas, tents, fountains, gardens, cafes and a scene where they celebrate the annual Festival Gate Musical Cultures.

The Oldest is the "Spring Garden", also known as "Parque de las Palomas" - near the harbor and the pier where the monument to the sailor Alonso Sanchez by the sculptor Leon Ortega.

Most advanced are the "Parque de Zafra," one of the largest in the city and a monument consisting of more than sixty sculptures by artists across the park from east to west and the "Parque Alonso Sanchez, which was built in the 80s and it is like a ziggurat.

The gardens of Huelva the "Parque Moret, remodelled in 2007, with over seventy hectares is the largest park in the city and one of the largest in Andalusia. It has bike lanes, barbecues and artificial lake and has an outdoor amphitheatre with capacity for 2,000 people.

Moret Park, located inside the town is a green lung within the city.

The location of the city at the estuary of the Tinto and Odiel rivers and surrounded by hills and backed by salt marshes describes the diverse natural environment. The Marshes of Odiel are 6775 hectares and declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1983.

Hills still visible visible are Mundaka, the Joya, La Esperanza, San Pedro, Almagro or mainly Conquero El, one of the places to view the city is through the Santuario de la Cinta.
