The Castles of San Sebastian and Santa Catalina are viewed from this beach and you can see the islet known as the Lighthouse Puerca so named because it was on that island that the boats left for the Americas. Playa Santa Maria del Mar or Playita of females and Victoria Beach are believed to be the best urban beaches in Europe.

Victoria has an approximate length of 3 kilometres and has received a coveted blue flag without interruption since 1987 and is also the first beach in Spain to receive the certification of the great AENOR environmental management and The Q a Tourist Quality Seal.

The Beach Cortadura is the longest beach of Cadiz, of 3.9 kilometers and the Beach Puntales Con has a length of 50 meters and is a lesser known beach in the city.

All beaches in Cadiz are in urban areas, except for a piece of about two kilometres away from the beach Cortadura. The sands of the beaches are thin and golden and are made of fine sands.

Playa de La Caleta, is the smallest beach in the entire city, and isolated from the others. . Its main attraction is its location in downtown Cadiz. The gaditanos see it as one of the most symbolic of their city, and is a recurring theme in songs sung at Carnival.
